- PLEASE NOTE: This hood works well for anything except ultra wide angle settings (its is not recommended for focal lengths under 24mm as it can cause darkened corners known as 'vigetting'). This hood fits all brands of lenses - with a 67mm filter thread only. The filter size is not the same as the 'focal lenght' of a lens, which also indicated in milimetres. The filter size indicates the diameter of the screw mount on the front of the lens, where filters, caps and attachments are mounted. Most camera lenses display the filter size on the front of the lens, together with the ø symbol.
